Fear is a basic human emotion. What frightens you more: the evil that you know, or the evil that you don't know? Do you know the true meaning of F.E.A.R.?
Thus begins one of the
scariest trailers for a computer game I have ever seen. F.E.A.R. stands for First Encounter Assault Recon, and your character is part of an elite military unit deployed to tackle supernatural and paranormal phenomenon; think Fox Mulder dressed in fatigues and packing an MP-5.
F.E.A.R. is the latest cutting-edge FPS game from industry veterans
Monolith, responsible for top titles such as Shogo, No One Lives Forever 1 & 2, AVP 2 and Tron 2.0. The game is powered by the latest iteration of the venerable
Lithtech Engine, now called Jupiter. The graphics are truly stunning, featuring advanced shaders to push even the newest graphics cards to the max.

The official synopsis is as follows:
You aren't a soldier. You are a weapon.
A paramilitary force infiltrates a multi billion dollar aerospace compound taking hostages, but issuing no demands. The government responds by sending in its best special operations teams, only to have them obliterated. Live footage of the massacre is cut short by an unexpected wave of destruction that leaves military leaders stunned and in disbelief.
With U.S. Special Forces in over their heads, the Commander in Chief turns to his final option: you. You've been trained to handle the inexplicable, armed with experimental high tech weaponry, and given full executive authority to end the crisis by any means necessary.
I don't know about you, but I rather like the sound of 'by any means necessary'.
What does all this have to do with Case Modding I hear you ask? Vivendi Universal, the game's publisher, approached us to ask if we would be interested in theming a case to be given away in a magazine. Naturally, we jumped at the chance, and with a limited budget and a looming deadline, we decided the perfect solution was a CaseSkin with some awesome custom artwork. PhotoShop modding!
